🗓️ 7-week session. Classes meet June 16-August 6. No classes are held the week of July 14-16.
📍 In-person or online. Most classes are hybrid, meaning the in-person and online students learn concurrently.
⌚ 2-hour classes. All classes meet once weekly for two hours (6-8pm CDT.)
📖 Required textbook: Students in Levels 1-3 are required to obtain a copy of Easy Spanish Step-by-Step by Barbara Bregstein. Students in Levels 1 and in Spanish for Action will use both Easy Spanish Step-by-Step and Advanced Spanish Step-by-Step OR Complete Spanish Step-by-Step by Barbara Bregstein, available on Amazon and in some local bookstores.

This introductory course is designed for individuals with little to no prior knowledge of Spanish, or for those who need a refresher. The course focuses on building a solid foundation in the language, covering essential grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Students will learn basic conversational skills. This is an online and in-person hybrid class in which all students are expected to interact.

This course builds on the skills acquired in Spanish Level 2, helping students further develop their conversational abilities and understanding of advanced-beginner to intermediate grammar. Students will expand their vocabulary, practice more complex sentence structures, and increase confidence in communicating in various everyday situations, relating stories, and discussing topics.

Learning Lab Wichita
This course is designed for students who have a solid grammatical base and want to become more natural and fluid speakers. Students expand their use of advanced structures (including more consistent use of the subjunctive and compound verbs) while focusing heavily on conversation. Topics include current events, cultural themes, professional situations, and real-world problem solving. The goal is greater spontaneity, nuance, and confidence in extended conversations. Completion of Level 3 or Level 4 (or equivalent experience) is a prerequisite for this class. This course is best suited for the in-person learner.

This course places a strong emphasis on Spanish conversation and discussion. More advanced grammatical concepts are explored, and students will complete activities such as role-play, readings and stories, videos, and listening comprehension and discussion. Students will further develop their conversation skills, gain confidence in listening comprehension, and explore current events and cultural topics related to the Spanish-speaking world.
